Lockdown – a message from Scanprobe

Lockdown – a message from Scanprobe

Covid 19 Update

Well, the UK is back into lockdown mode as we approach the end of 2020 (will this year ever end!?). Whilst it is less of a shock to the system second time around, it by no means makes it any easier, both individually or commercially.

Thankfully at least, COVID-19 is better understood now than it was earlier this year, and throughout 2020 we all worked hard to adapt to the “new normal”. We have developed new and improved processes to best ensure we look to protect our customers and staff, whilst maintaining our usual operating hours and service. So in this second nationwide lockdown, what are we doing differently to ensure safety for our customers and staff?

Lockdown in the UK has made Scanprobe update and modify our internal processes
Sanitising stations are situated throughout the premises

Our trade counter is the main customer touch-point, and as a result of the first COVID-19 lockdown, this has undergone a full refurb. A clearly defined demonstration area ensures how and when demonstration stock is touched, and therefore will require immediate cleaning. We have installed counter-to-ceiling height Perspex screens & also, using an anti-bacterial fogging machine, disinfect our entire trade counter every night. Customers are required to wear a face mask when in the trade counter to protect themselves and our staff.

Our trade counter area is unrecognisable since the UK entered the first lockdown of 2020
Full length Perspex screens have been fitted in our customer facing area

Office-side, all of our staff enter the building via a specified entrance, and follow a strict routing of hand-washing, anti-bacterial gel and digital temperature taking. Alongside this, social distancing measures have been put in place to help everyone to maintain their social space from one another. Unfortunately our on-site training programs have had to be put on hold for the foreseeable future, but as a result we have moved those possible onto a video format so our customers are still able to get the best out of their Scanprobe products whilst lockdown continues to have an impact on the nation’s day-to-day.

We will continue to take government advise as lockdown continues, and as we close out a tumultuous 2020, we hope you, your families and friends all stay safe.
